Happy New Year 2022 from Lamon Reviews

Welcome back to Lamon Reviews.

Wow! It’s already a new year. 2021 went by incredibly fast. I am content with the progress I made with my reading in 2021, and am aiming a little higher this year. I am also excited for this years reading and blogging challenges I have decided on. I am always excited at the beginning of the year. Hopefully it will last!

My goals this year are more focused on both reading and writing. I want to get more short stories published and work on the craft and my writing style.

I am still proud of the few pages I made for my 2022 reading journal and am itching to start using it. Another goal I have that is more a carry over from 2021 is organizing my reading and reviewing work.

I also want to be more supportive of other bloggers that I gain inspiration from. I started a little in 2021, but I feel I could have done better and will work at it this year.

My goals that I focus on are never ending and always under development. In the end, it will make me a better reviewer, reader, and writer.

Book Blogger Support 2022 Challenge

Also, I found a blogging challenge that I think is great. It has 12 challenges, so one challenge a month. I can totally do this! It is the Support Book Blogger challenge hosted by Krysta and Briana @Pages Unbound.

Social Media Hashtag: #BookBloggerSupport22

It is cool. There are no real β€œrules” for this challenge. There are 12 ideas, so one task to focus per month in 2022, but there is no obligation to do the tasks in order. Choose whichever option works best for you in any given month.

Another cool thing is you can participate in this challenge even if you are not a blogger but have another platform. Just replace β€œwrite a blog post” with β€œmake a video” or β€œcreate an Instagram post” or whatever works for you.

A New Year’s Wish

May each day bring thee something
Fair to hold in memory–
Some true light to shine
Upon thee in the after days.
May each night bring thee peace,
As when the dove broods o’er
The young she loves; may day
And night the circle of
A rich experience weave
About thy life, and make
It rich with knowledge, but radiant
With Love, whose blossoms shall be
Tender deeds.

~ Helen Van Anderson Gordon (b. 1859)
