Welcome back to Lamon Reviews.
As you may know I am participating in the Long and Short Wednesday Weekly Challenge. This week the topic is Best book, movie, or TV show from 2021. I added podcasts to the list because I didn’t have anything for the movie category.
Best book from 2021
I read so many books I liked in 2021. Looking over the list I have for the second half of the year, I see at least three novels and books of essays that I thought were the best books at the time I was reading. I think what I think the best book I read in 2021, I would choose…
Within These Wicked Walls by Lauren Blackwood
A similar novel I read around september was Mexican Gothic by Silvia Moreno-Garcia. I liked both books, but Within These Wicked Walls is my favorite. I loved it!
Movie and TV Shows
I really don’t remember a movie or tv show from 2021 that really stuck with me or that I thought was good. I usually go with series that I have finished and enjoyed. Like 24 or Big Bang Theory. Those two are fun to revisit.
I have recently started Discovery of Witches, so far it is easy to follow and keeps my attention, which is another reason I tend not to watch many shows. But I listen to alot of podcasts and audiodramas and read alot.
One audio drama I listened to the last few months of 2021 and I absolutely enjoyed was The Two Princes. I binged all three seasons in the last two months of last year. The one I am listening to now is another one along the same vein. Recommended by the Spotify algorithm, Dragon’s Reign: A Gay Fantasy Serial Story.
Above is the link to spotify, but if you are interested, you can check out the website of the author and find more of her titles below.
Dragon’s Reign is a not as fun and light hearted (I think) as The Two Princes, but I like it just as much and there are more seasons for this one, so I will have a longer time before I am actually listening to the current episodes.
Now I’d like to hear from you.
What are some titles you thought were the best in 2021? Let me know in the comments below.
And As Always…
Go forth, dear readers, support your favorite indie authors and encourage reading and literacy.
